European low footprint bamboo, good for agriculture, climate and economy

Kjell Tahon has been involved in farming and plantation projects in Africa, where he first got to know bamboo. There bamboo was mainly used for the construction of the farms in the mixed-farm projects set up with local communities.
Together with a mixed team of world-renowned bamboo experts and greenfield specialists, in 2019 the conviction was born that a bamboo industry in Europe, the largest export market for bamboo, is viable. BambooLogic started activities and commenced with the first bamboo fields in Portugal. Meanwhile, interest from all over Europe is growing to get involved in the bamboo business.
Of course, besides growing bamboo, a lot more is needed to create a complete industry. BambooLogic plays a leading role in building step-by-step the bamboo value chain in Europe: from growing to processing.
Kjell wants to take give insight into why bamboo farming is a viable alternative in agriculture and how BambooLogic can support building a rewarding and sustainable story.
